Meet Crocodiles

April 2, 2013 / Music

Meet Crocodiles.

San Diego is often overshadowed by its glittering neighbor Los Angeles, but there’s no denying the quality of music streaming out of this SoCal metropolis. Between the current WAVVES craze and the pop-punk legends of Blink-182, there’s plenty to love outta San Diego.

With heavyweight acts like those to follow, Crocodiles has a lot to live up to, but so far we dig what we hear! Influenced by acts like Dum Dum Girls and the Jesus and Mary Chain, Crocodiles’ soaring riffs and heavy feedback act as a soundtrack for the current noise pop revival. After a 2008 name-drop from No Age, Crocodiles started getting some major attention, and once their debut album hit stores in 2009, there was no turning back.

Now with 3 full-lengths under their belts, Crocodiles isn’t currently touring, so we’re hoping a fourth album is forthcoming. With a mix of 80’s inspired dreamy melodies and drone-y feedback, it’s easy listening for those who appreciate re-imagined vintage musical styles.

Check out Crocodiles on AllMusic or Spotify to give ’em a listen now!
