Meet Wheatpaster Kim Fox
It’s not uncommon to run into an East-turned-West Coaster in our transitional city of San Diego, but after spending about 30 seconds with Kim Fox, you’d think she was a SoCal native! This 25 year old Bostonian came to San Diego 3 years ago with a degree in Graphic Design and a love for sunshine. She’s been rockin’ it here at Wheatpaste for a few years and we think she’s just cute as apple pie. Get to know her now!
Wheatpaste Art Collective: How long have you worked at Wheatpaste Art Collective?
Kim Fox: I’ve worked here since September 2010, a little over 2 ½ years!
WP: Walk us through a day in your life at Wheatpaste.
WP: What do you like best about working for Wheatpaste?
Kim Fox: Being inspired by all of the amazing art I get to work with every day! Also, seeing a product come to life from a file in Photoshop to a piece of stretched canvas wall art, wall decal, or wall mural is pretty awesome too.
WP:What’s your favorite art piece from Wheatpaste?
KF: I’m really diggin Katie Daisy’s “Floral Love” lately- I love her colorful lettering and free spirited style.
WP: What did you want to be growing up?
Kim Fox: A singer.
WP: If you could go anywhere in the world (and money was no object), where would you go and why?
Kim Fox: Fiji. I’ve always dreamed of staying in one of the huts above the water- it looks so peaceful and refreshing!
WP: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Kim Fox: I love traveling, going to concerts, and of course spending time at the beach in sunny San Diego!
WP: What brought you to the West Coast?
Kim Fox: I was California dreamin’ ever since I can remember! I always knew I wanted the perfect weather, palm trees, and laid back beach life in SoCal (who wouldn’t?!).
WP: What are you jamming to on your iPod right now?
