Renegade Craft Fair hits NYC next weekend!
If you aren’t yet familiar with the Renegade Craft Fair, you’re either ironically so un-hipster that it’s hip or you’ve just been living under a rock for the last few years. DIY living is hotter than ever and the Renegade Craft Fair is THE tour de force this summer. Sure, it’s no Coachella, but we’re willing to bet that a few flower crowns will still be spotted from Austin to London.
Quick backstory – the Renegade Craft Fair started in Chicago circa 2003 and has since ballooned into a 6-city tour that includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Brooklyn, London, and Chicago. With over 250,000 visitors annually, summer AND winter events, and hundreds of independent vendors at each Renegade Craft Fair, RCF is the biggest indie-craft marketplace around.
This summer’s second stop on the Renegade Craft Fair tour hits Brooklyn next weekend. The two-day event kicks off June 22 + 23 at 11 AM and runs until 7 PM at East River State Park in beautiful Williamsburg. Over 300 crafters, artists, zine makers, printmakers, sculptors, etc. will be there, plus plenty of workshops, installations, music, food, and photobooths to keep everyone from toddlers to octogenarians interested. Plus, it’s free to attend, leaving your wallets just that much fatter to spend on supporting independent creatives!
Sadly, as permanent residents of the best, ahem, WEST Coast, Wheatpaste won’t be in attendance, but there’s always the Renegade Craft Fair Los Angeles to look forward to! We can’t wait to see tons of pics and blogs of RCFB next weekend.
So if you’ve got any birthdays or gift-giving events coming up, don’t miss this awesome chance to keep it local, indie, and awesome! Renegade Craft Fair is where it’s at.
