Chilling with Toro Y Moi

“Chill out!” isn’t something you have to tell us twice. Kickin’ back is what San Diegans do best, and some ambient tuneage helps set the stage for a languid mood beautifully. Toro Y Moi (real name Chazwick Bundick) has been on repeat pretty much all of 2011, and according to PitchforkUnder the Radar, and Filter, we aren’t alone in our dreamy music love!

Toro Y Moi graduated from typical indie rock beginnings in South Carolina into a genre-inspiring chillwave godfather with steadily epic releases since 2009, including several EP’s and 2 full lengths (2010’s Causers of This and 2011’s Underneath the Pine). Record label Carpark Records (home to another one of our current faves Beach House) has helped Bundick tour the world relentlessly, and with upcoming 2012 tour dates in the South Pacific, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

If you aren’t already a superfan, check out Toro Y Moi’s discography on Spotify and get chillaxin’!
