San Diego Comic Con

San Diego Comic Con is right around the corner, and as proud San Diegans we couldn't be more stoked!  SDCC is the crème de la crème of cons, and with an anticipated 130,000+ attendees, this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the best America has ever seen.

San Diego Comic Con started in 1970 and has grown every single year, expanding from simple comic book swaps to a major film and popular arts convention spanning 4 days (plus a Preview Night that only a privileged few manage to get tickets to). As total toyphiles, the collectible vinyl toy section is what we’re most excited about, and Kidrobot has been tantalizing us with teases of exclusive releases, including ones from Huck Gee, Frank Kozik, and plenty more to come. We’re staying up to date with all the San Diego Comic Con release announcements through Clutter Magazine, The Blot Says, and other various toy-related publications online and in print.

Kidrobot King and Wheatpaste Wonder Sket-One will also be at San Diego Comic Con, and we’re stoked to meet up with him July 12-15 during the festivities. If you haven’t checked out his previous Comic Con releases, you can check some out here, and you can snag his exclusive collection of fabric wall decals and canvas wall art through Wheatpaste at his shop here. Why not deck your room out with some of his rad wall art in anticipation of the Con? Who knows, maybe he’ll even sign one for you.

We’ll see ya at the San Diego Comic Con on July 12-15, 2012!
