  • Sorority Room Decor Ideas

Whether you’re joining the talented Tri-Delts or amazing Alpha Chis, it can be difficult to stand out in a crowd of popular sororities. Pledging a sorority may be one of the biggest decisions you ever make in your life, but choosing your sorority room decor (or dorm room decor) just got a lot easier with Wheatpaste Art Collective.

College room decor is a great way to shout your individual style from the walls, and with Wheatpaste’s personalized wall decor options, you can deck your dorm without breaking the bank. Our reusable wall decals are the perfect way to avoid unsightly (and not allowed!) holes in walls, so whether you’re dorm-bound or are heading to the sorority suites, you won’t need to worry about wall damage, leaving your mind worry-free to catch up on studying… or for tailgating before the big game!

Wheatpaste’s removable wall stickers aren’t just eco-friendly stickable posters with awesome graphics, affordable prices, and a Made in the USA guarantee (although they are all that). Our custom wall decals also come Greeked out! Greek Letter Decals let you show your Greek pride all semester long, and with our unique fabric-based adhesive material, this totally custom lettering option can be stuck and re-stuck a whole bunch of times, unlike cheaper vinyl wall letters. That means even if you find yourself moving from apartment to dorm to sorority suite, your hand-picked wall art stickers can make the move with you and look as fresh as ever. Our Greek Letter Decals also make the perfect secret gift for your little sister while she rushes, so spread the spirit!

If you’re stuck on selecting some awesome sorority art, Greek art, or just college room decor options, Wheatpaste has got your walls covered. Check out our giant wall decals, custom lettering, and Greek Letter Decals for ideas on how to make your sorority suite the hottest room in the house.

  • Outside Lands Music + Arts Festival

Outside Lands boasts music, food, wine, beer, and art. Mix those in one of the dopest locations on the West Coast (Golden Gate Park) in one of the raddest cities in Cali (San Francisco) and you’ve got yourself what may be the best festival of the summer!

Outside Lands kicks off August 10 and runs through August 12. 3-day and single day passes are still available, but with an epic lineup including Foo Fighters, Fitz and the Tantrums, Passion Pit, Dr. Dog, Skrillex, Jack White, Santigold, and more (plus comedy presented in conjunction with Adult Swim featuring David Cross, Neil Patrick Harris, etc.), this three day celebration of awesomeness is likely to be full to capacity soon. Don’t act like you don’t want to go. What’s not to get stoked on?

Even with a plethora of awesome festivals across the country, Outside Lands stands above the rest in terms of location and amenities. Even SF Weekly lists their Top 5 Reasons Outside Lands Is Better Than Coachella (including the fact that your face is a lot less likely to melt off in the cool breezes of SF than the scorching Indio valley). Outside Lands also has “Eco-Lands”, a green initiative that’s hitting its 4th year in supporting sustainability, urban farming, and more.

An especially interesting offering is Outsider Art at Outside Lands. Curated by Juxtapoz Magazine, Outsider Art means “music and food lovers will get the chance to explore exquisite installations in an expanded wooded festival space as they venture into Golden Gate Park to see original experiential creations by Juxtapoz favorites Mike Shine, Monica Canilao, Nicholas Krusyk and Tiffany Bozik. The middle of the Polo Fields will host live painting every day by Sam Flores, Nate Van Dyke, Chez, Apex, Aden Catalani, Eos Montana, Skinner and surprise guests.” (via their website). Sounds good to us!

We don’t think you need any more convincing. Check out Outside Lands on Facebook or snag tickets at their site.

  • Meet + Greet Raul Montoya of Wheatpaste Art Collective

Wheatpaste Art Collective is only as cool as its employees. We want to make sure you get to know the people behind the brand, which is why we're stoked to bring you our first Meet + Greet. It's an inside look at what makes Wheatpaste Art Collective tick, and a peek into the lives of the people that make it all happen.

Our first Meet + Greet is from our insanely talented Graphic Design department. Raul Montoya is a 26 year old designer who hails from Baja California and calls San Diego home. He's rad, we love him, and we're so excited to show him off!

How long have you worked for Wheatpaste Art Collective?: 1 year and 9 months, I started in October 2010.

What's your favorite piece from Wheatpaste Art Collective? Eye of the Lion by Nate Duval.

Favorite band(s): M83, Coldplay, Foster The People, Beach House, Boards Of Canada, Eskmo, Emancipator

Weird fact about yourself: I like to walk barefoot (could live barefoot).

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I wish I could fly so I can go to different places and see the world from the sky. Flying would be awesome. (We second that).

If your life was made into a movie, who would you want to play you? Javier Bardem is a Spanish actor that I admire. One of his latest films “Biutiful” was nominated for many awards, some of his films are a must-see.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would love to be in Japan, more specifically Tokyo. This is a place I have in mind and would like to visit in a future. I am fascinated by its culture, technology, food and it would be an amazing place to take pictures.

Stay tuned for more awesome Meet + Greets in the future. See more from the Wheatpaste Art Collective collection here!
